The pattern in our most-read content
These aren't the articles we expected to be most-read when we started the site. The list is dominated by two patterns: specific product questions ("which trivets actually protect stone?") and stain emergencies ("how do I get this out before my spouse comes home?"). Material overview pages are useful and they get plenty of traffic, but the long-tail winners are the practical questions where Google sends people in the middle of an actual problem.
That pattern tells you something about the value we add: this site is most useful when something is currently going wrong in your kitchen. We've leaned into it. The "stain emergency" tier has its own update cadence and is the part of the site we revisit most often.
