I have seen a ton of emails lately from my readers asking about Uba Tuba granite and what paint colors go well with Uba Tuba granite.

The majority of you have just purchased a home and it already had this granite color in it and you don't want to change it and I completely understand. Changing the countertops can be a huge expense especially if you have a large kitchen with lots of countertop space.

Let me add that Uba Tuba may not be a popular choice but it still does look good in the right room. Also, it is important to note that it has made it on our list of the cheapest granite countertops.

What Paint Colors Go With Uba Tuba Granite

White paint is a given, as it goes with anything but have you considered a cream color? Maybe even an off white? These colors go well especially if you have off-white or cream-colored cabinets and dark brown hardwood floors.

In the image above you can see how well Uba Tuba granite works well here and that backsplash even seals the deal here. I wouldn't normally suggest this style of a backsplash but it definitely looks great in this kitchen.

This is a warm kitchen and the stainless steel appliances make this kitchen look even better.

What Color Is Uba Tuba Granite

Uba Tuba granite is a dark color granite with some dark green and black variations. It has these shiny flecks which make it very unique.

The color of the granite is why many people find it hard to match paint color or cabinet colors and even harder to choose a tile for the floor and backsplash.

I tend to agree with most of you that gray and anything similar does not go well with Uba Tuba granite. I like whites and warm wood or brown colors for cabinets to match with Uba Tuba.

For a more modern or country style then go with white cabinets and a white tile and white wall paint. Stainless steel appliances are especially good for this style. Be sure to keep things simple with your tile but be as creative as you wish.

For a more rustic or warm feel then go with natural warm colors such as creams, browns, and rust. These colors go well with Uba Tuba granite. I particularly like the wood color cabinet with a cream color stone backsplash. This makes the Uba Tuba granite pop and makes the entire kitchen feel warm and inviting.

Best Tile For Uba Tuba Granite

I have seen a lot of kitchens with Uba Tuba granite and the ones with white subway tile have always been my favorite look however I have seen Earthy tone tiles being used in other kitchens with brown cabinets and hardwood flooring and these kitchens look warm and amazing.

Uba Tuba is a great granite countertop when you have brown cabinets but if you decide to go with a white subway tile I do suggest that you use a white cabinet and white paint for your walls.

Have you considered using Uba Tuba all the way up for a full-height backsplash?

This kitchen looks amazing with this white on black on white look. The stainless steel appliances really make it stand out even more.

Conclusion

Uba Tuba can work for your kitchen but what were you given to play with? Do you have white cabinets? Do you have wood colored or brown cabinets? Depending on your situation I have a recommendation for you above but don't be afraid to be unique and bold with your kitchen design. If you don't like it don't worry about it much you can always change it later.

About Jon - Website Owner

Jon Smith

Hi, my name is Jonathan Smith. I have been in the granite business for many years and have worked my way up from an installer helper to an installer and then a countertop business owner.

I started my countertop company with very little and grew extremely fast because of my knowledge and helpfulness. I started this countertop resource for 1 main reason. That reason is that there are no countertop websites with all the correct information and none of them are from an industry expert like myself.

I am still in the trade every single day installing countertops, educating people on the type of material they are using for their homes, and making people's dream kitchens a reality.
